Meet your Lactation Consultant

Heather Cordova B.S, IBCLC

I have been a lactation consultant for more than 13 years and working with families for more than 30 years. I strongly believe everyone should have access to professional care and I love providing that care to families. Feeding your baby is a personal experience and I am passionate and dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. I tailor my approach to each individual and their unique path and special journey.

Since receiving my bachelors degree in nutrition, I have worked with the Women, Infants and Children program providing nutrition education and lactation support for 29 years. I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2011, and have been in private practice for over 12 years.

I am married, have two children, and I breastfed each of them for a full year. My daughter, who is now an adult, has significant special needs. When it came to breastfeeding, I needed extra care and support from professionals to reach my goals. I doubt I could have continued to feed her human milk without the support offered by professionals around me. I want other individuals to have that support.

Testimonials

Clients Say

Heather's support and encouragement is so genuine and heartfelt.  She truly wants everyone to succeed and every breastfeeding Mom needs someone like her in their "village".

I Found Heather over five years ago when I had my son.  We didn't have any major breastfeeding issues but it can still be so hard in the beginning and she helped us on our way to 25 months of breastfeeding!

Then when I found out I was expecting twins I knew I would need support once again, and I was thrilled to learn that Heather was still doing lactation consults.  Twins has been a whole different ball gamed I questioned whether breastfeeding was even going to work this time around, but with determination and Heather's knowledge and continued encouragement we are now 12 weeks in and breastfeeding is going well!  She also helped me to start tandem feeding beginning just 3 weeks, which has been a life saver.  Needless to say, I highly recommend Heather and am so glad she has been a part of our Journey!

Support is key!

"Your Journey is yours" Finding a helping hand to get you there may just what you need.
