Frequently Asked Questions About Lactation Care
-
You can schedule a consultation at any stage of your feeding journey. Prenatal visits can help you prepare before baby arrives, while postpartum visits can address feeding concerns, pumping, milk supply, latch issues, returning to work, and more.
-
Not at all. Many families schedule visits for education, reassurance, breastfeeding preparation, flange fitting, pumping guidance, or creating a return-to-work feeding plan. Lactation support can be helpful even when things are going well.
-
Love Lactation, LLC provides in-home lactation consultations throughout Parker, Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Elizabeth, and many surrounding South Metro Denver communities. Virtual visits may also be available.
-
Each visit is personalized to your family's needs. We may discuss your feeding goals, review your health history, assess breastfeeding or pumping, observe a feeding, evaluate milk transfer, answer questions, and develop a plan that feels realistic and supportive for your family.
-
Most initial visits last approximately 90–120 minutes, allowing time for a thorough assessment, feeding observation, education, and questions. Follow-up visits are often shorter depending on your needs.
